2003-02-28|super super pissed pissed off girl.

so angry, i dont know where to start.

trend whores are taking over my school. unless you're living in a dark hole, you know that the trend right now is "punk". look back a few years from now in the yearbooks and you'll see the people that claim to be "punk" wearing abercrombie and fitch and having oh so different "values" as they have now. "fight the conformity!" they say. but really they're saying "wear etnies and buy plaid pants! be the same! go to thrift stores!" individualism has been lost in their thoughtless plight to be in with the in crowd. people who took comfort in the punk way of life have now lost their safe haven due to the trend whores that inhabit the "streets" of armada. "individualism!" they say. its the oppisite. everyone is conformed into the so-called punk mold that is about to break. look ahead a few years ahead and we'll be right back listening to pop music... wait, that's what punk music is now. i once took refuge under the wing of such music. now that it's being exploited by 12 year old teeny boppers and 15 year olds who claim to be "the pinnocle of punk". it's tainted now, why would i want to be a part of something that's so predictable? it used to be fun, but now that certain unmentioned people have showed the world how much of a jackass they can be, i have grown to develop a deep hatred for anything and everything related to punk... at least the punk that i see everyday, the punk at the surface. its the punk that everyone "listens" to, but actually they're just nodding along with the beat and smiling to their nothing friends. the punk below the surface is much, much different. it's not music, it's not a way of life, it's a joke. punk was made to piss people off and i just don't see that anymore. i see people joining "the fight against conformity" yet just wearing the same labelicious clothes and being assholes. that's all for today folks.
